Lawrence Chew is an audit partner at PKF Pacific Hawaii. Prior to founding PKF Pacific Hawaii, Lawrence was with Grant Thornton LLP for over 25 years. He was an audit partner as well as the local office professional standards partner and was previously a member of Grant Thornton’s National Professional Standards Group. Lawrence’s experience in accounting and auditing includes assignments covering governmental agencies, financial services, wholesale and retail merchandising, real estate development and management companies, construction contractors and not-for-profit industries.
Lawrence received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of San Francisco. He is a director of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Hawaii; treasurer for the Better Business Bureau Foundation of Hawaii; and past chairman of the Board for the Better Business Bureau of Hawaii. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Hawaii Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Association of Government Accountants – Hawaii Chapter. Lawrence is a licensed CPA in the State of Hawaii, the State of California (inactive), and the territory of Guam.
